It was at Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she had one of the most unforgettable moment in the history of sports - the score of the first ever perfect 10 on the asymmetrical bars. Furthermore, she had six other perfect 10s which made her 14 years old, the youngest Olympic medalist in all categories. The accomplishments of Nadia Comaneci have not just been the focus of attention everywhere but has also assisted Romania get a foothold on the map of international recognition. A sports legend came into the spotlight after securing an unprecedented number of points, thereby creating a legend and popularizing gymnastics as a sport all over the globe. The sport also altered the perception about female athletes. This was due to the effect she made during the Olympics in the same way that both move toe-on (toes on) and the release move are named after her. These two moves have been regarded, until today, as difficult. Alongside the Olympics her performance also included outstanding performance in each of her World Championships & European Championships. In the end, she became a legendary gymnast and one of best-known athletes the globe has ever seen. The US she also tried to market sports products and model in her new country after she left.
