It was at Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she had one of the most unforgettable moment in the history of sports - the score of the first ever perfect 10 on the asymmetrical bars. Furthermore, she had six other perfect 10s which made her 14 years old, the youngest Olympic medalist in all categories. The accomplishments of Nadia Comaneci have not just been the focus of attention everywhere but has also assisted Romania get a foothold on the map of international recognition. A sports legend came into the spotlight after securing an unprecedented number of points, thereby creating a legend and popularizing gymnastics as a sport all over the globe. The sport also altered the perception about female athletes.
