Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on the 9th of February 1997 to her natural Filipino parents. Her grandmother grew up in slums until she was three years old, when she was adopted. Her adopted father, a Filipina-American who has a military background was white, and American. She claims that her adoptive brother and she were abused from when she was young until she enlisted. Her family travelled to San Francisco for a few months in order to stay with her aunt prior to moving to Texas in the year 13 owing to her father's need for bypass surgery. She says the physical abuse subsided after a few months, but she was still forced to suffer from psychological abuse by her father. She joined in the United States Navy at age 18. Poarch began her TikTok page in April 2020. Within less than eight months, she'd amassed more than 40 million users. A zoomed-in clip of her synchronized lip-syncing to the tune and jumping around into the song became a viral clip that was the top TikTok video. She started her YouTube and Twitter accounts during the time after her signing up to TikTok to benefit from her rising fame. Her fame grew rapidly around the month of December of 2020. She reportedly piqued the interest of two major professionals Esports teams. FaZe Clan & 100 Thieves both showed interest in hiring the creator of the content as part of their brand.
